Cine Blitz 20091001 Scan06 Irrfan Khan
I absolutely love how professionally Dia Mirza is holding that gun. And how that oversized watch is echoing, in a way, the circumstances being oversized for her. Even so, this scan belongs to Irrfan Khan. That Armani Exchange buckle is a bit cheesy but the snap is lovely. In fact all the characters are looking good. Acid Factory had a really interesting storyline.
Cine Blitz 20091001 Scan05 Neha Dhupia
My impression that Neha Dhupia is a very physical person got strengthened when I read that she is friends with Ritwik Bhattacharya who happens to be a sportsman (National Squash Champion), which is not to say that Ritwik or for that matter Neha are all brawn and no brains.
Cine Blitz 20091001 Scan04 Vidya Balan
This image easily qualifies to be among Vidya Balan's Top 10 photographs. I like even the absence of earrings because the mood is centred around getting dressed up for a party (or changing into a night suit after having been to a party). And thinking about what might happen (or happenned) at that party.
Cine Blitz 20091001 Scan03 Vidya Balan
Here the background is so right for the composition. But even more than that is the revelation that Vidya tries to associate movies with perfumes.
"That scent transports me to the film, the shoot, the character... It is a subconscious aide"
I respect her so much more for it. It is clear that she is very intelligent and knows the inner workings of her mind. Even in itself, it is so brilliant an idea. So many others can benefit from associating specific perfumes with specific experiences.
Cine Blitz 20091001 Scan02 Vidya Balan
Eye shadow extensions mostly succeed in changing our perception of the person. Here the hairdo and hairpin add to the impact created by the eye shadow. All the more reason for the shots to be in B&W.
Cine Blitz 20091001 Scan01 Vidya Balan
Our lives have become so stressful. Each day has become some sort of a fight. That is the reason it was so refreshing to see Vidya Balan looking content and at ease.

People 20091009 Scan05 Anushka Manchanda
I love the pose, the attitude, the dress and the lightplay but not the hair and that thing around the neck (choker?). Still the photo does indeed succeed in conveying the never say die spirit one would associate with Anushka Manchanda.
People 20091009 Scan04 Mahesh Bhatt
I love vintage pics and these ones are classic in more ways than one. Was Mahesh Bhatt aware of the kind of success that awaited him especially since he is known for his introspection.

People 20091009 Scan03 Sonam Kapoor
This image is an example of contrast, Sonam is looking EXTRA pretty because Aishwarya and Malaika are looking plain. And I suspect the reason could be that old saying: beauty lies in asymmetry. If ever I were asked to design a mannequin's face and hair, I would use this image as an inspiration.

People 20091009 Scan02 Sonam Kapoor
I equate this photo to getting a tip from some chef that is easy enough to implement in our own kitchen. So many girls would look so funky and go-getting with such a hairstyle and they could do it all by themselves. No fretting over hair shades and conditioners. Not that the white kameez, patterned sleeveless jacket, black dupatta and oxidized silver aren't a good tip in themselves.

People 20091009 Scan01 Sonam Kapoor
This could possibly be Sonam Kapoor's best snap ever. In my opinion, the four secrets behind the genius of this snap are the hair, the eyes, the over-exposure and consequent desaturation. I am not commenting on the nose, mouth and neck because their outlining is a result of the over-exposure. I tried but couldn't find any flaw anywhere. BTW, I have used Matthew Brown's Autostitch to combine the two scans.

Filmfare 20091028 scan 12 Militza
Militza is from Serbia. Two things make it an excellent snap, the eyeliner and the over-exposure. These bring out the beautiful structure of her face.
Filmfare 20091028 scan 11 Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez looking pretty. The hands are a bit bony and the books are a bit old but look at the face, mouth, hair and dress.

Filmfare 20091028 scan 09 Bipasha Basu
The (gothic?) leather strap and nail polish are kind of gross. Basically I hate needless fashion trends with all this gothic influence as a prime example.
Filmfare 20091028 scan 08 Nasir Kazi
A lot of people have abs, what makes Nasir Kazi perfect are the proportions. Look at the way his head fits on those sloping shoulders.
Filmfare 20091028 scan 07 Kangna Ranaut
Ordinarily Kangna Ranaut is a simple looking but very naughty girl. In this snap, Jatin Kampani has been able to bring out the innocent child in her. The retro hair and those eyes make it a masterpiece.
Filmfare 20091028 scan 06 Ddamas Ad
The model (Jacqueline?) is quite cute and the toning is very nice but the dress is a bit lowly in terms of fabric, pattern and folds.

Filmfare 20091028 scan 05 Sonam Kapoor
I am a disciple of the power of hairstyle. It often alters our perception of the person. Here Sonam Kapoor is looking so different and so chic.
Filmfare 20091028 scan 04 PC Jeweller Ad
I love everything about the ad. The model (Giselle Monteiro?), the background blur, the face, the eyes, the hair, the ornaments, the dress, the puja thali. Only the left hand and the caption are a bit awkward.
